Wanna hear some nifty tidbittles (little tidbits) that I've collected? Well, here they are, regardless of whether you answered yes or no.

If you're straining, you're not doing it right.

When there's a chant that needs repeating during a spell, each time you repeat it, do so with increased intensity, a stronger need, a firmer thoughtform. Each repitition should be more foolproof than the last. Besides, all of the most intense physical experiences follow a pattern of climax: adrenaline, orgasms. It's a naturally powerful pattern.

Most magic usually works within 21 days, or it won't at all.

The more people that will be affected by the spell, the longer it will take to manifest.

Small goals usually manifest faster. Some larger ones can take weeks. This is normal.

Some goals have multiple layers towards attainment. First work with each layer individually, then with the overall goal.

KISS Principle. (Keep It Simple, Stupid.) A straining memory detracts energy from your concentration on the immediate moment. (This principle also works very well when solving complex mathmatical equations. In fact, I learned it from my Calculus teacher.)

It is entirely possible to cast a spell without being really conscious of it. Remember this next time you're stewing in the juices of emotion and desire/need. Some pretty freaky stuff can happen if you're not careful. (Desire for revenge, in particular, is a nasty sucker that isn't very healthy to dwell with--for you or the person you can't stand.)

Be careful what you wish for--you WILL get it. (Cliched, I know, but TRUE! So TRUE!!)

Along those lines, an anecdote: A friend of mine, "Amelia", runs a wildlife rehab center. Not so very long ago, some bitchy neighbors complained to the county-zoning-regulations- committee that the center participated in unhealthy practices that endangered public health. (Which it does NOT, by the who.) Well, there was a 2-year-long string of hearings and ugly debates, trying to decide whether or not to close down the center. I thought to help Amelia and the animals by a spell I found online: "Scales of justice, harken and quaver. Let the board rule in Amelia's favor." They did. They said that as long as Amelia, who is the most capable person on the face of the Earth, is around, the center can stay. But they know she won't last forever. So they said that the center must basically shut down within four years. The moral? If I had gotten my priorities straight, and asked for the ruling to be in the center's favor, rather than Amelia's, then they would have left it alone. As it happened, they were all for Amelia, which really is what I asked for, but what I really needed to happen didn't happen. Damn technicality. I have an empty hope that someone will read this and suddenly choose spell-directions very carefully, and avoid my dumbass mistake.

Plan your visualizations and intents VERY VERY CAREFULLY CANNOTEMPHASIZEENOUGH!!!!

Never haggle over something you really want, be it ritual tool or other. This cheapens it in all kinds of ways and generates--not buyer's remorse--just plain remorse.

The more time you waste on something, the more personal energy goes into it, and the more important and powerful it becomes. ("It is the time you have wasted on your rose that makes your rose so important.")

Deosil is pronounced "jessel".

It is possible to invoke just about anything, the way you draw down the Moon. I once invoked the woods in my backyard. Wowsa!

When the existential or Nirvana types say that everything we know is nonexistant, they do not mean nothing exists. They mean that nothing exists as we perceive it.

The five-pointed star drawn in a continuous line is a *pentagram*. When you put a circle around it, it becomes a *pentacle*.

When speaking your magic, speak into the belly of the air. Whisper if you must.

Magic is energy, just like electricity, and it follows the path of least resistance. Don't tell it how to do its job. This will only slow your goal's manifestation.

Likewise, after you've cast a spell, DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT. Worrying just sets up speed bumps.

There is always someone, somewhere, unseen, who is helping to cause any given problem in life. Find this influence. Track it like a hound.
